I came across this quote from the movie "Steel Magnolias", one of my all time favorite movies, and decided to use it in this.  I'm sure we all know someone who is (at times, or all the time) a bit pretentious and it feels like we are standing in a field of 3 foot deep manure.

It's been awhile since I've sat and watched that movie.  I think I need to watch it again, with a pad of paper and pencil, and get some more quotes.  I know that were some really good ones in that movie.

2 new graphics, Mothers & Daughters and Housewife

This is the same one I posted in my Housewife journal, without my mom and daughters names on it. 

                                  

And this is a housewife picture that I thought was kind of amusing.  Funny how so many people think that housewives, who work from sun up to sun down, are lazy.  I know that I, personally, am on call 24/7.  I'm not complaining, I enjoy what I do.  But for people who can't get off their own butt to cook a meal, clean the house or do the laundry to refer to mom's who don't work outside the home as lazy is just plain ignorant.

A woman's poem

Bad Jill!  Three months since I've done any graphic for this journal.  I'm sorry, but if you've read my Simple Housewife Journal then ya know I've been a bit busy.  I just can't seem to find the time to work on graphics as much as I'd like to. 

However, my friend Sascha recently sent me this poem and it inspired me to make this graphic for my sidebar.  I hope ya'll like it.
